NEW DELHI: KTM has introduced new black colour variant of its RC 200 motorcycle. The new variant is in addition to the already existing white colour variant and comes without any additional cost, at Rs 1.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The entry-level supersport styled motorcycle from KTM, the RC 200 is based on a steel trellis frame and gets a cast aluminium swing-arm for better stiffness. The bike features an aerodynamic design along with track racing ergonomics.
It offers premium components such as Up-side Down (USD) front forks, multifunctional digital console, wide tyres and clip-on handlebars for sharp handling. Powering the KTM RC 200 is a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled DOHC engine, delivering 25PS of power and 19.2Nm of torque.
Under the alliance with the Austrian bikemaker, Bajaj Auto Limited manufactures the RC 200 along with the other small capacity KTM bikes at its plant in Chakan (near Pune), India. These bikes are retailed in the country through Bajaj’s Probiking dealer network.
“The KTM RCs are race-bred machines. The RC 200 constitutes a significant part of the KTM portfolio and it is only fair that we broaden the choice for our customers with the addition of a new Black colour option,” said Amit Nandi, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd.
