NEW DELHI: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) on Saturday announced that it will voluntarily inspect and if required, replace a suspected quality part in three of its scooter models – the Aviator, Activa 125 and the Grazia.
Honda has identified a suspected quality issue of excessive hardness in bolt flange (10×42) mounted in the front fork of 56,194 units of these models.
Honda as a precautionary measure will voluntarily inspect these models manufactured between February 7 and March 16 of 2018. The company will replace the suspected part, if required, on free of cost basis irrespective of the affected vehicles warranty status.
The company through its dealers will directly notify affected customers via call/e-mail/SMS for inspection of their vehicle. Customers can also check if their vehicle falls under this campaign by submitting their unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the dedicated section on the company’s official website.
To avoid any inconvenience or waiting at the dealership, Honda is suggesting to book service appointment in advance as per the availability.
